St. Moritz

This is the place to see winter sports that were, or still are, found only here, such as polo and cricket played on snow, bobsledding on natural ice, and horse racing on snow, which includes skijöring (skiers pulled by riderless horses). The frozen lake acts as the "white arena" for some events and provides the backdrop for others. A tent village complete with grandstands, palm trees, restaurants, bars, and art exhibitions is installed on the lake in February during the White Turf, which includes horse racing and skijöring.
