The Knight’s Hall of Schloss Brandis, a castle whose earliest portions date from the 10th century, is the atmospheric setting for its namesake restaurant, which serves up Maienfeld specialties along with local wine, including from its own vineyards. The beamed ceilings and candlelit tables create a romantic ambience worthy of the rich and satisfying fare: you'll always find chateaubriand, Maienfelder Riesling soup, house-made Grisons dumplings (with meat or vegetables), and local pike perch, along with seasonal specialties, including venison in the fall. Service is friendly and knowledgeable. In nice weather, guests can dine out on the pretty terrace.
