Bus and Tram Travel

Trams and buses are handy for getting outside the Altstadt. Service by Bernmobil is extensive, with city center fares costing between 2 SF and 5 SF. An unlimited day ticket is about 13 SF. Buy tickets from the dispensers, located at every stop, by finding the name of the stop closest to your destination on the map, then selecting the fare listed for it. Hotel guests receive a free Bern Ticket for transportation, which covers the city as well as Bern Airport and Gurten's funicular. Swiss Pass holders also travel free.
