  • 1. Festival de Música de Isaac Albéniz

Camprodon's most famous son is composer Isaac Albéniz (1860–1909), who spent more than 20 years in exile in France, where he became friends with musical luminaries such as Pablo Casals, Claude Debussy, and Gabriel Fauré. His celebrated classical guitar piece, Asturias, is one of Spain's best-known works. In July and August, during the Isaac Albéniz Music Festival, a series of concerts by renowned artists and young talent from the European classical music scene is held in the monastery of Sant Pere. For an up-to-date concert schedule, contact the tourist office or visit the website.
