Internet, Mail, and Shipping

Many hotels now set aside at least one terminal for guests to access the Internet—and some of the better places are now adding Wi-Fi networks. Ljubljana has several Internet cafés (known locally as cybercafés), though these are harder to find in outlying cities and towns. Frequently cafés and bars will maintain a computer terminal or two and allow access for a fee—usually around €5 an hour.

Postage is assessed according to weight. The standard international letter rate, including airmail, is €.70 for very light letters, and €1.17 for standard size. Postcards sent abroad cost €.60. Post offices are open weekdays from 8 to 6 and Saturday from 8 to noon. Stamps are also sold at hotels, newsstands, and kiosks.
