Slovenia's original craft beer is best enjoyed at its brewery, located in Vrhnika, an easy 25-minute journey from Ljubljana. The selection of beers is extensive (including a no-alcohol Respectable Fish), and the terrace is a great spot for a quiet afternoon drink with great conversation. Matt is just about as friendly as hosts get, with a veritable well of stories and information. There is also an actual dartboard, and such things should always be celebrated. The taproom is closed Monday and Tuesday.
