Housed in a Victorian-era school building with a modern interior, the Lyth Arts Centre serves as a cultural hub for the region. From April to November, professional music and theater companies fill the schedule, and locals fill the seats. There are also exhibitions of contemporary fine art. Lyth is 11 miles southwest of John O'Groats.
