Room

All rooms are elegantly furnished with charming decor and you'll feel downright magical staying in one of them. Also, if you look outside, you'll notice that you're still in the Scottish Highlands, and you'll feel even more magical. You might as well keep the windows open. This place is scenic.

You Should Know Walls are thin, and if you're staying in a room facing the inner courtyard, you might hear noise from people partying outside through the night.

Bathroom

Listen up: They've got bath tubs in this hotel. You get a bath tub. This is very exciting. Oh, also, you get a shower and the bathroom is big and bright and super nice. But, most importantly: There is a bath tub and you can take an extremely luxurious bath.

You Should Know There are no bath robes provided. Bummer.

Lobby

This lobby is pretty. You'll feel like you're walking into a storybook right upon entering the lobby, where you'll find a reception desk and living room seating area.

Dining

Two restaurants are located inside the hotel, and menu items are made from fresh and local produce. You can get anything from a casual lunch to a three-course dinner. There's also an afternoon tea option.

Tip Room service is available--but not all night.

Drinking

The Whisky Bar is located at the front of the hotel. It's got plenty of single malt whiskies, as well as cocktails and a nice local beer selection.

Golf

Golf is big at the Kingsmills Hotel. It's right smack dab in the middle of the some of the best golf courses in the world, so if you're into golf, you're going to love this place. Also, the hotel is close to other premier golf courses in the Highlands--seriously, if you love golf, this is the hotel for you.

Getting Around

You'll need to travel by car to get around Inverness. Arrange for this prior to staying, or use a local guide or tour--Brendan Vacations offers private chauffeurs and can aid you in your travels throughout the Highlands (and other parts of Scotland). Heck, if you're super adventurous, you could travel by bike.

Restaurants

The Mustard Seed Restaraunt (6-minute drive) is a local and independently run restaurant in the heart of Inverness with an extensive menu and great drinks (try one of their gins and you will not be disappointed). Also, it used to be a church but then they turned it into a restaurant, which is pretty cool.

Bars

The Isle of Skye has several local breweries, but you'll need to drive to them. Cuillin Brewery (15-minute drive) has locally brewed craft beers and is located amongst picturesque hills and scenery.
