Restaurants

As in much of the rest of Scotland, Aberdeen and the northeast have rediscovered the quality and versatility of the local produce. Juicy Aberdeen Angus steaks, lean lamb, and humanely reared pork appear on local menus, and there's a great choice of locally sourced seafood, from old-school fish-and-chips to dishes that fuse Mediterranean, Asian, and Latin influence. Traditional favorites like Cullen skink (a creamy smoked-fish soup) are on many menus.
