Air

Porto's Aeroporto Francisco Sá Carneiro, 13 km (8 miles) north of the city, is the gateway to northern Portugal. The airport is served by the metro system (a 30-minute trip downtown, €1.85). Taxis and ride-sharing companies like Uber are also available outside the terminal; the metered fare into town should run €20 to €35 with baggage surcharge. Outside the city limits, tariffs are based on kilometers traveled.
