Air

Estremadura and the Ribatejo are served by Lisbon's Aeroporto Humberto Delgado, 7 km (4½ miles) north of the city.

No trains run directly between the airport and Estremadura and the Ribatejo, but you can catch trains to several towns in the region from Lisbon's Oriente or Santa Apolónia stations, or suburban Agualva-Cacém. Very few regional buses make stops at the airport; most start instead from Campo Grande station, a short taxi ride from the airport. If you are landing in Lisbon and traveling directly to this area, your best bet may be to rent a car.
