Fodor's Expert Review Trás d'Orelha

Torres Vedras

Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Long considered the area's best traditional restaurant, Trás d'Orelha moved to a new location south of the city center without losing its rustic decor or its hearty fare. Among the best dishes are the burras de porco preto (slow-cooked cheek from the Iberian black pig), and cabidela (chicken cooked in its own blood). For fish, try the baked garoupa (grouper).
