Planning Your Time

A week is enough time to experience Coimbra, visit a spa and the coast, and explore the Serra da Estrela. If you have just three days, you can visit Coimbra and the coast, or head straight inland to the mountains. But don’t let the distances fool you into being overambitious: mountain roads may not be long, but they take a lot of time to drive.
