Telephones

Most international mobile phones (3G included) work in Poland, but do check your roaming charges in advance. Major local telecom companies are Era, Plus, and Orange. It is easy to get a prepaid phone and recharge it as you need it (you can get the cards at mobile operators’ shops, newsagents, gas stations, even supermarkets). Due to the fast growth of the mobile network, there are fewer public phones now, but you will still find them. They operate with phone cards, which can be bought at newsstands. Public phones support international calls.
