Bus Travel

Most bus routes across the island start at Valletta Terminal just outside the entrance to the Citadel, and run daily from 5:30 am to 11 pm depending on the route (service ends earlier outside the main towns). Some night routes run in the main tourist areas from midnight until around 4 am. A day ticket is available for €2.60. Bus routes are marked on the maps distributed by the tourist office.
