The best collection of Lithuanian fine art is at the Vilniaus Paveikslu Galerija (Vilnius Picture Gallery), which displays 16th- to 19th-century paintings, as well as a number of sculptures and some early pottery and folk art. The interior of what was a palace from the 17th through the 19th centuries has been handsomely restored.
