Room

Rooms feature uniquely patterned-wallpaper, huge beds with luxe linen and faux-fur throws and unique furniture throughout. Windows are fortunately massive, providing the best views out onto the city. Rooms are filled with design pieces from the likes of Van Egmond, Philippe Starck and Antonio Citterio. Waking up to the Colosseum just outside your window is an experience you'll never get used to. All include huge flat-screen TVs, lounging furniture, Nespresso coffee machine, free Wi-Fi, safe and Bose audio system.

You Should Know Some rooms overlook the inner courtyard, so ask ahead if the view is what you're looking for.

Bathroom

Bathrooms are huge and well-lit with a full range of luxe amenities from Acqua di Parma. They feature either a walk-in shower or spa bath for the ultimate soak. Bathrobe and slippers are also provided.

Getting Around

This hotel overlooks the Colosseum. You'll be just a quick jaunt to most of Rome's other ancient sights. And buses and taxis here are plentiful. The Colosseo Metro stop is just a 7-minute walk away.

Restaurants

Da Felice (10-minute drive) is a classic Roman institution with is checkerboard floors and bare-brick interior. Grilled meats cooked to perfection nearly fall off the bone. Trattoria Monti (16-minute walk) is a 12-table family restaurant known for incredible game dishes and the house speciality, tortellone, a giant runny-egg ravioli covered in sage and brown butter. Reservations are a must.

Bars

Caffe Bohemian (8-minute drive) is a Monti hotspot that never gets too crowded despite the great drinks and cozy living room-inspired atmosphere. Salotto42 (13-minute drive) is an intimate cocktail lounge with huge velvet sofas and a direct view onto Hadrian's Temple.
