Why We Like It

The Marcella Royal Hotel is a first-class hotel conveniently situated in an upscale neighborhood. The boutique hotel puts its guests first with great customer service. The elegant building with luxury furnishings and delicate design make this a special place to spend your time in Rome. While bedding and furnishings aren't super up-to-date, they're more than comfortable to spend the night. The rooftop terrace has one of the best views out onto St. Peter's Dome and provides a perfect locale for a romantic dinner.

Fodor's Expert Review

You can do your sightseeing from the rooftop terrace of the Marcella Royal, a midsize hotel set in a Neo-Renaissance building with the feel of a smaller, more intimate establishment, where staff go the extra mile to make your stay pleasant. Take in the view while you breakfast; the hotel also offers a light dinner service for guests who prefer to stay in for a relaxing evening. Many rooms also have good views, and all are decorated in tasteful color schemes, with floral prints and mirrored walls. The spacious suites are ideal for families. The hotel is 10 minutes from Via Veneto and Termini station. Become a fan of the hotel on Facebook to receive a discount when you book.

Room

Rooms at Marcella Royal are classically furnished and well-stocked with amenities. Similar to the regal theme, expect scarlet or blue carpeting, golden bedspreads and matching wallpaper. Antique prints line the walls. All include a minibar, desk, slippers, safe and satellite TV. Although on the small side, they're comfortable, modern and kept immaculately clean. Superior rooms and up have much more floor space and furniture for lounging. The "Dome View" room has an incredible window looking out onto St. Peter's.

Tip Ask for a room at the front of the hotel to take advantage of the beautiful views.
