Room

This all-suite hotel provides guests with the finer things in life. Rooms are decked out with hardwood floors, framed portraits on the walls, and beautifully crafted armoires with cooking stations inside. Amenities include in-room tablets to help with all things Florence, espresso machines and tea kettles, microwaves, and bottled water.

Bathroom

Wood floors continue into the marble-laden bathrooms that have separated rooms for toilets and bidets (fancy). Some bathrooms have shower/tub combos while others are showers only and Ferragamo’s amazing bath products are standard.

Lobby

The dark and brooding lobby has onyx floors and a mishmash of handcrafted and vintage furnishings strewn throughout. Black and white photos are displayed to give off a feel of the glamour of Florence in the 1950s. It’s still pretty glamorous today too.

Spa

While there’s no spa inside the hotel, guests are free to go to sister hotel Continentale next door and use their lux facilities.

Gym

There’s no gym, but the hotel has a number of options for fitness-minded guests. There are first-come-first-serve bicycles and there are personalized itineraries for runners and joggers that can take you on workout excursions for high-impact sightseeing.

Dining

Caffé dell’Oro is the hotel’s official restaurant and is open for breakfast, lunch, and dinner. This fine-dining spot is an official Bib Gourmand Michelin selection and offers up classic Florentine dishes with tasteful twists.

Tip If you bring your family, the breakfast buffet has a special kids corner that will give them the sugar high of their dreams and your nightmares.

Drinking

This isn’t exactly a drinking destination, but there’s an incredible wine selection and an a la carte apperitivo with cured meats. Views of the river are spectacular just outside the front door, so drinking here any time is a treat.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

Most things in Florence are within walking distance, and this hotel is no exception. Being so close to the Ponte Vecchio, it’s easy to access both sides of the river by foot. Also, within walking distance are the most important attractions, great shopping, stellar restaurants, and fun nightlife. Don’t bother renting a car here as the city center rules are hard to figure out and breaking them can be expensive.

Restaurants

For Michelin-starred dining, head over to Ora d’Aria (3-minute walk) for insanely perfect pastas in a library-like setting. If you want to try something unique, check out The Fusion Restaurant & Bar (1-minute walk) at sister hotel Gallery Hotel Art for a mix of Japanese, Peruvian, and Mediterranean cuisine.

Bars

La Terrazza (1-minute walk) on the roof of the Continentale is the perfect sunset spot for classic cocktails. If you want river views from the south side of the Arno, head over to Golden View Open Bar (4-minute walk) instead.
