Air Travel

Cork Airport, 5 km (3 miles) south of Cork City on the Kinsale road, has direct flights daily to London (Heathrow, Gatwick, and Stansted), Manchester, East Midlands, Paris, and Malaga, and direct flights to many other European cities. There are up to three transatlantic flights a week from Providence/Boston–T. F. Green. Shannon Airport, 124 km (76 miles) north of Cork City, is the point of arrival for a limited amount of seasonal transatlantic flights, including direct flights from Philadelphia, Toronto (summer only), and New York City (from both JFK and Newark), while Dublin Airport, which is 264 KM (165 miles) northeast of Cork on a motorway, has frequent daily services from many North American hubs.

Dublin Airport. Dublin Airport is 264 KM (165 miles) and three hours along the M7/M8 from Cork's city center. It's Ireland's most connected airport, with a plethora of transatlantic routes daily from North America and Europe. Aircoach and Bus Éireann offer regular bus sevice directly to Cork from Dublin. Airport Transfers

Bus Éireann has a bus link between Cork Airport and the Cork Parnell Place Bus Station about every 30 minutes, and a route between the airport and Kinsale roughly every hour. Tickets for both destinations can be bought on the bus.
