Getting Here and Around

The easiest way to get to Eger from Budapest is by train, which leaves every two hours from Keleti Station. The trip lasts just under two hours. Tickets can be purchased in the underground just inside the entrance to Keleti . The last train back from Eger is at 7 pm, so perhaps go easy on the wine. Check train schedules at www.mav-start.hu.
