Kavala's Blue Flag beaches are never very far away from any hotel, but to have the region's famously soft sand right outside the door, check into this hotel 6 km (4 miles) west of Kavala. Set in a curved bay, the main building and detached bungalows keep acoutrements to a spartan minimum, with simple, but modern, beds and desks on a tile floor, though little else. Most have balconies. The on-site restaurant uses only organic and locally sourced ingredients in its Mediterranean menu. Cocktails, soft drinks, and juices can also be ordered on the beach, which is illuminated at night and kept busy.
