On the third weekend of every September, Santorini celebrates the volcanic eruption that changed the landscape of the island back in the second millennium BC. A series of concerts, exhibitions, and cultural events culminates in a spectacular fireworks show in the caldera, re-enacting the explosions and lava flow.
