Immersed in greenery and directly overlooking the massive monolithic pillars of Meteora, Pyrgos Adrachti makes for a unique secret getaway. The attractive hotel, built in an architectural style that is traditional in the region, is a little outdated on the whole and what modernizing has taken place seems to be more for the sake of it, but anyway it's always sparkling clean, and the family who run it try their best to make it feel like home. Breakfast is ample and is a good fortifying start to any busy day exploring the monastic monuments. The rooms have all the basic amenities one may need and are large, well kept, and comfortable. The owners offer plenty of advice, maps, and tips for nearby walks and sightseeing in the area. The main draw here though is the location, the proximity to the monastic stacks make for a breathtaking if not somewhat imposing view.
