Taxis rates are reasonable—when adhered to. If you want to hire a cab on an hourly or daily basis, negotiate the price before you travel. In Corfu Town, taxis wait at San Rocco Square, the Esplanade, the airport, the Old Port Square, and the New Port. Many drivers speak English. Of course, long-distance trips on the island will pack a hefty price tag.
