Sorry! We don't have any recommendations for Arachova right now.
Arachova was known even in pre-ski days as a place to shop for wool, with stores selling rugs and weavings lining the main street. The modern mass-produced bedspreads, flokatis (woolen rugs, sometimes dyed vivid colors), and kilim-style carpets sold today are reasonably priced. If you poke into dark corners in the stores, you still might turn up something made of local wool; anything that claims to be antique bears a higher price. Also look for anything made of carved wood, from eating utensils to furniture, as well as local foodstuffs like the delicious Parnassus honey, the local cheese formaella (often served warm), and the fiery hot rakomelo (a combination of anise liqueur and honey), which is served in most of the bars and cafés on a cold winter's night to warm those who've been outside all day.
