Restaurants, including this award-winning gem of neoclassical design and inventive Mediterranean cuisine, are one reason Metaxourgeio's star is rising. Chef Gikas Xenakis's cooking is a serious candidate for notoriety. Currently there are two types of tasting menus, "earth & sea" or "garden & nature," with a choice of four, five, or six dishes all paired with wine.
