Fodor's Expert Review Hotel am Steinplatz

Set in a turn-of-the-century grand city mansion just a few steps away from Ku'damm, this luxurious boutique hotel defies its operator, the Marriott group, in many ways. Opened in late 2013, the Hotel am Steinplatz offers typical Charlottenburg, art nouveau rooms with high ceilings and a minimalist design but all the services of a four-star hotel such as free Wi-Fi, a well-stocked minibar, plush robes and slippers, as well as products by ETRO. Not to be missed are the rooftop spa and gym as well as the hotel’s restaurant Am Steinplatz, voted the Berlin newcomer 2014, where chef Marcus Zimmer offers a light version of Berlin classic dishes.
