Dutch fashion designer and artist Caroline Dechamby hand-paints the rings and leather purses for sale at the space she shares with Carousel Fine Art. The pop artist also works with Swiss watchmakers for her limited-edition art series—in case you can't squeeze one of the paintings that are also for sale into your suitcase.

La Promenade des 100 Antiquaires

Old Town

France's third-largest regroupment of antiques collectors forms a triangle from Place Garibaldi to the port (Quai Papacino) and along Rue Catherine Ségruane at the bottom of the château. Shops along Rue Antoine Gautier and Rue Emmanuel Philibert are worth exploring, as is Marché aux Puces de Nice, an emporium with 30 stalls under one roof in Quai Lunel. In addition, Place Garibaldi hosts a morning antiques market on the third Saturday of the month.
