Fodor's Expert Review L'Imprevu
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
This warm and convivial contemporary dining room—well located near the Musée d'Art Contemporain and the Old Town—has become a favorite haunt of locals seeking gourmet dining on a budget. Chef Laurent Brémond's market-driven cuisine emphasizes local bounty with a Mediterranean flair. Portions are ample for dishes like grilled scallops and spinach with smoked pumpkin cream and wild rice, or cocotte of slow-cooked veal with sage, fricasseed mushrooms, and macaroni gratin. There are also plenty of vegetarian dishes and a fine children's menu. The inviting outdoor terrace is a relaxing place to enjoy your meal along with a little people-watching.
