Ancient and modern blend harmoniously at this elegant boutique hotel set in an 18th-century mansion once inhabited by a French woman named Henriette, to whom four spacious, beautifully decorated rooms pay homage. Romance is the theme, with touches meant to inspire amour, like La Chambre d'Henriette's in-room tub and the romantic views of Mont Sainte-Victoire from top-floor La Love Suite's private balcony. Thoughtful details in each room, like fresh flowers and candy, really do set this lovely hotel apart, as does its basement pool and intimate size. It's just minutes from the Cours Mirabeau, the old town, and many of the city's top sites, which makes it an excellent base.
