Why We Like It

If your heart is set on the Champs-Élysées, this is an excellent choice for a boutique hotel with plenty of panache, plus top-notch service, views, and a style all its own, at a price that's hard to beat.

Fodor's Expert Review

Star designers Jean-Philippe Nuel and Natasha Stojkovic transformed a humdrum 60s office building into one of the city's liveliest fashion-centric boutique hotels. A refreshing, and affordable, addition to an upscale neighborhood loaded with posh grand dames.

Tip The charming hidden garden terrace is a lovely place to relax over a coffee and a magazine.

Room

Bright, compact rooms sport a mod, black-and-white graphic style, inspired by iconic sixties' designer Courrèges, that feels both sleek and cozy, especially the tiniest rooms, whose ingenious layout makes them manageable. More expensive suites are still reasonable for this neighborhood and offer more space—and some terraces—with the same futuristic decor, jazzed up with fashion photos and mirrors.

Tip It's well worth upgrading to a higher floor for the views over Paris rooftops and the tip of the Eiffel Tower.

Bathroom

Spotless bathrooms come with up-to-the-minute fixtures, nice bright lights, and rain showers. Higher categories have tubs with showers.

Lobby

A small, beautifully designed lobby offers compact lounge areas, complete with video fireplace, for reading the daily newspaper over a complimentary hot drink and a snack.

Dining

A fresh continental or buffet breakfast is available in the chic breakfast room or in your room. Snacks are available in the evenings from a small room service menu.

Drinking

You can order a glass or bottle of wine to enjoy in the lounge or your room from a small bar in the dining area.

What's Nearby

Getting Around

A five-minute walk from the George V metro station, serving Paris's most central line.

This is an ideal location near the Champs-Élysées, close to transport and the Arc de Triomphe. Though on a relatively quiet upscale street, you're in the heart of some of the city's most glamorous shopping, and within easy walking distance of the wonderful Grand Palais and Petit Palais.

Restaurants

Some of Paris's great gastronomic restaurants—and elegant bars—are a quick walk away (many in other hotels), including Le George, at the Four Seasons George V Hotel, La Scène, at Prince des Galles, Le Gabriel at La Réserve, and Epicure at Le Bristol (all within a 5-15-minute walk). If Epicure is beyond your budget—and for most mortals it is—its three-star chef Eric Frechon designed the menu at the Le Drugstore and its all-day and late-night hours and sidewalk terrace make it a neighborhood favorite (5 minutes on foot).

Bars

In this pricey neighborhood, picking out a nearby café that appeals to you and settling in for a glass of wine to watch the world go by isn't a bad option. But if it's a good cocktail in a chic spot you're after, we like the Champs-Élysées sidewalk terrace at the newly reopened Le Drugstore, at the ever-chic Drugstore Publicis shopping complex near the Arc de Triomphe, and the huge terrace at Mini-Palais at the Grand Palais, both with menus created by three-star chef Eric Frechon (5 and 15-minute walk from the hotel).
