Mesa may be a hotel restaurant, but it’s one of the best vegetarian spots in the city. This intimate restaurant is located inside the cozy Hotel Hoy, a yoga-themed hotel at the end of Rue des Martyrs. Mesa features a plant-based menu filled with vibrant, colorful dishes made with natural ingredients and seasonal produce. The menu was developed by chefs at the Plant Academy in London and includes creative items like carrot lox, purple corn pancakes with vanilla yogurt and roasted almond butter and a candied carrot dip. Whatever you do, don’t skip this restaurant’s delicious breads.

Bodhi Vegan

This budget-friendly Vietnamese vegan restaurant is easy to miss, but you’d regret it if you did. This is a small spot that feels like a local secret. You’ll find it just south of the Colonel Fabien metro stop. And while you will see chicken, beef, and fish on the menu, what you’ll be served is textured soy protein versions of each. Some menu items, like the restaurant’s veggie fried shrimp, taste and look so much like their meaty counterparts that they just might fool you.

Saravana Bhavan

Saravana Bhavan is a global chain of vegetarian south Indian restaurants with locations around the world. Saravana Bhavan’s Paris location is near Gare du Nord and serves up south Indian staples including dosas, idlis, and thalis–generous platters with a selection of dishes including seasonal vegetables, lentils, and rice. The restaurant itself isn’t fancy, but the food is authentic and affordable. The Paris location is one of 80 Saravana Bhavans in over two dozen countries.

Jah Jah By Le Tricycle

This plant-based Afro-Caribbean restaurant opened its doors in 2017. The Jamaican-inspired casual spot is known for its vegetarian bowls, veggie burgers, and smoothies. It has outdoor seating, friendly owners, and serves up what might just be the most beautiful plantains in Paris.

Soya Cantine Bio

This canteen-style restaurant features an organic vegan menu that’s sure to take your taste buds on a trip around the world. Le Grenier de Notre Dame

This restaurant may be small, but it serves up huge flavor in a cozy setting just steps from Notre Dame. 42 Degres

If you’re looking for a fashionable vegan meal in an unpretentious Paris setting, look no further than 42 Degres. Its name is a nod to 42 degrees Celsius, the temperature up to which heated food can still be considered raw. The menu here isn’t huge, but it is creative. Try the seaweed tartare or the all-you-can-eat Sunday brunch. The restaurant also offers cooking classes.
