Boat and Ferry Travel

Regular car ferries run from Marseille, Nice, and Toulon to Ajaccio and Bastia. These crossings take 5–10 hours, with sleeping cabins available. The high-speed ferry from Nice to Bastia takes about three hours. Package deals, which include making the crossing with a car, an onboard cabin, and a hotel in Corsica, are available from SNCM, the Société Nationale Maritime Corse-Méditérranée. Connections from the Italian mainland are run by Corsica Ferries and Moby Lines. Sardinia can be reached by ferry from Bastia or Bonifacio on Moby Lines. La Méridionale runs a service from Marseille to Ajaccio, Bastia, and Propriano in Corsica and Porto Torres in Sardinia.
