Sens

Pretty Sens enjoys a "four-leaf" ranking as a ville fleurie, or floral city—and you’ll understand why when you see the Moulin à Tan (a gorgeous park with more than 35 acres of greenery), the excellently manicured Jean-Cousin square, and the municipal greenhouses. It finds full botanical expression on the second Sunday in September, when everything and everyone are festooned with flowers during the Fête de la Saint-Fiacre, a festival named after the patron saint of gardeners. But anytime during the year, the glorious Cathédrale St-Étienne makes a trip here worthwhile.
