Train Travel

Fourteen direct high-speed TGVs per day leave Paris’s Gare de l'Est for Strasbourg, making the journey in 2 hours 20 minutes; another dozen direct ones depart daily from the same station bound for Nancy, with a travel time of about 90 minutes. Four daily direct TGVs head to Colmar, arriving in just under 3 hours, and two travel to Épinal in 2 hours 20 minutes. A network of regional trains and buses links popular locales (like Ribeauvillé or Obernai), but you'll need a car to visit the smallest villages.
