Fodor's Expert Review Demo
There are not many places where you can really kick back and enjoy pumpkin soup with a tiger prawn mousse starter, or roasted pigeon served with black pudding and pistachios—particularly if you'd like sophisticated dishes like these to be accompanied with the friendliness and relaxed attitude of a corner bar. Opened in 2003 by chefs Tommi Tuominen and Teemu Aura, Demo serves food of the very best quality without the stuffiness of some high-end restaurants; this is a place where you can comfortably laugh out loud. The core menu is classical French, and the restaurant offers 4-, 5- and 6-, and 7-course chef's menus, which change daily. The wine cellar here might be the best in Finland—some 450 wines and counting, with Burgundy a specialty.
