Fodor's Expert Review Wild & Co

Opened in 2014 by an English-Italian couple, Wild & Co is an excellent café by day and a fashionable bar-restaurant by night. Local linocuts line the walls and fresh flowers decorate the wooden tables. Locally sourced and homegrown ingredients are expertly turned into dishes such as slow-cooked ragu of Lakeland venison with pappardelle, and confit of Goosnargh duck with black pudding cassoulet and savory granola; a thoughtful children's menu is available, too. Delicious homemade cakes make a good accompaniment to the excellent coffee or tea.
