Right on Kendal’s main street, this upscale hostel is located in an attractive building with plenty of character. The family’s cat will greet you at the door, and the warm welcome comes from the humans as well. Downstairs is a large, shared living room with a roaring fireplace in winter; dorms and private rooms are upstairs. Guests have access to a well-equipped shared kitchen and breakfast room, and you can also pop next door for coffee and cake at the excellent Warehouse Café.
