Fodor's Expert Review National Football Museum
This striking, glass-skinned triangle of a building includes a galaxy of footballing (soccer) memorabilia, from historic trophies, souvenirs, and shirts (many of them match-worn and signed by legends of the sport) to such near-sacred items as the ball from the 1966 World Cup—the last time England won the sport's ultimate prize. Other exhibits explore football's role in English popular culture. In the interactive Football Plus+ zone you can pick up a microphone and develop your commentary style or test your ball skills in a range of activities, including a tense penalty shoot-out; these require paid tickets.
