Fodor's Expert Review Hotel Hafnia
Áarvegur 4–10, Tórshavn, Streymoy, 100, Faroe Islands
Within walking distance of city sights, services, and transportation links, Hotel Hafnia has been hosting guests since 1950, when Christian Restorff demolished his estate to build the best accommodations in town. Decades of expansion and renovations now give Hafnia its tasteful, modestly elegant ambiance. Rooms blend soft beige and yellow tones with simple wood furniture and sparse wall art. The vibe is decidedly more energetic in the hotel restaurant, especially during its summer seafood buffets, fished locally from some of the cleanest ocean in the world.
