The 7 Quirkiest Hotels in Prague
Beautiful, stately old Prague has always had its quirky side, and that has only become more apparent as the city has come into its own in the decades since the Velvet Revolution, from the various Kafka tributes dotted around town (including the massive mirror-ball style sculpture of his face in New Town) to the fact that one of its most famous monuments, the astronomical clock, includes a skeleton ringing a bell and a golden rooster. These hotels keep that tradition going. These are Prague's quirkiest hotels.
Unitas Hotel
Why it made the list
"Quirky" seems a slightly flippant word for a property that was once the home of the secret police (!!!), and the site of many much-feared interrogations during the communist-era (a shooting range was attached to the convent). But nowadays Unitas is a welcoming and historic place to stay and pay tribute to Prague's dark past.
