Fodor's Expert Review U Královny Elišky

$$ Brno Czech

With rooms named "The Musketeer" and "The Napoléon" and a menu full of wild game and fish, this 14th-century wine cellar turned restaurant remains true to its historic roots. In summer the historic ambience gets kicked up a notch as the garden becomes an arena for fencers in historical dress crossing swords, while spectators enjoy roast suckling pig or lamb. The adjacent pension ($) offers eight reasonably comfortable rooms at a good price (rates double during major trade fairs, however).
