Guided Tours from Prague

Guided bus tours are available from several companies for Karlštejn, Konopiště, Kutná Hora, Český Šternberk, and Terezín. The ease of booking and traveling (compared with figuring out the train and bus schedules or renting a car) are often worth the time constraints and extra cost. Wittmann Tours specializes in tours to Terezín as well as to Jewish sites all over the country. If you are looking for something more specialized, Avantgarde Prague offers tailor-made tours.

Avantgarde Prague. A well-established tour company, offering group and private tours that include a visit to a nuclear bunker, a focus on World War II in Prague, and hour-long drives through Prague in vintage cars (driver included). This is a good option for the time-poor, as tours can be speedy. Jáchymova 3, Staré Mesto, Prague, Praha. 226–235–080; www.avantgarde-prague.com.

Biko Adventures Prague. Biko offers a gentle and family-friendly full-day tour by bike through small villages (with stops for beer and baked goods) to Karlštejn castle (35 km [22 miles] away).
