Ghent and the Leie
Vegetarian
Editor's Note: This location is no longer in operation.
Ghent claims to have a greater density of vegetarian restaurants than anywhere else in Belgium, and this lunch spot near the Gravensteen is the pick of the bunch. Head here for delicious, locally grown organic meals or just a snack; the menu features pasta, stews, and quiches. In good weather, try for a table on the terrace. Be sure to get here early, though—it's usually open only 11:30 am--2:30 pm. It also runs the occasional healthy-eating cooking class.
