Laeken and Schaerbeek

Lying far north of the city center, Laeken is mostly a residential suburb, but it is also home of a number of great forests, the national football stadium, not to mention the official residence of the Belgium royal family. It also features plenty of fun days out for the family, including a trip to that symbol of Brussels: the Atomium, once named Europe's most bizarre building by CNN, no less.
