Set in a turn-of-the-century redbrick building, this ultra-chic hotel with large rooms is next door to the Ars Electronica Museum and just a five-minute walk across the bridge from the Altstadt. The guest rooms are so enormous that even though they have a good-size bed, desk, bookcases, and seating arrangements, they still seem rather bare. Rolf Benz designed the striking leather furniture in the three suites and the Philippe Starck–designed bathrooms feature an open-style bath. If you don't book a suite, request a room on the rear side of the house; these are much quieter.
