Nothing powered by more than a trolling motor is allowed on the crystalline waters of the peaceful alpine Lake Fuschl, and the emperor's Schloss Fuschl overlooking vintage wooden rowboats, swan couples, and wooden chalets still forms an enduring, enchanting scene. The stillness is not frozen in time, however. Energy drink powerhouse Red Bull is headquartered here, and you can often spot its sponsored athletes and pilots practicing in the area. It’s also an easy escape for Salzburgers who are looking for nearby wooded hikes and a refreshing swim on a hot summer day.
