This is Ischgl's flagship hotel, elegant and romantic, and the only five-star property in town. It's not an ancient hotel, as so many in Tyrol are, despite looking as if a fair-sized forest must have been used to complete its interior. Many celebrities visit Ischgl to ski or play their top-of-the-mountain concerts—Elton John, Tina Turner, and Lionel Richie included—and this is their favorite place to stay. In the center of town, it is also close to the main lift up the Silvrettabahn. The food here, overseen by celebrity-chef Martin Sieberer, is exquisite. You can also eat in the Baroque Hall, the Renaissance Hall, Maximilian or Kaiser Stube, or the Conservatory. The wine lists are outstanding, and the spa is vast and imaginative, with features including a Cleopatra Bath.
