The hospitable elegance of this hotel draws royalty, including Princess Caroline of Monaco and Princess (formerly Queen) Beatrix of the Netherlands. Like many of the hotels in Zürs, its appeal is understated from the outside, with a plain, almost austere look. Inside, all is seductively enticing, with heaps of gemütlichkeit. The Lorünser was one of the first hotels in Zürs, and it continues to improve, though not by increasing its size---local hoteliers have agreed to restrict the growth of their community, and instead focus on continually raising the quality. Carved ceiling beams, open fireplaces, and attractive accessories create a welcoming reception. Rustic wood is used to good effect in the stylish guest rooms. Prices include full board, and the quality of the kitchen is such that you won't feel like eating anywhere else.
